Edwin G. Cadiz holds a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts and a Master in Art Education.  His black and white photography, ceramics, colorful canvases, collages and provocative designs grace many community spaces, libraries, offices and private homes.  Cadiz has exhibited his work here and in Latin America; bridging the gap of cultural experience that is not only his birthright, but the inspiration for his work.

The art of Edwin Cadiz began at Henry Street Settlement with community murals and ceramics, hence his strong connection to community art.  He has been part of many citywide initiatives to beautify the city through the arts, and has served on the boards of art organizations, worked on museums collaboration projects with youth, and served on the Queens Council on the Arts grant review panel.  He designed one of the cows for New York City's Cow Parade exhibition, the piece is entitled, "Tropicow" was exhibited at Battery park.  He taught a studio art class for young children for over thirteen years.  Cadiz is a member of Artists Equity, En foco Inc, Alliance of queens Artists and the Association of the Hispanic Arts.

Cadiz lives in Long Island City, and is reemerging with his art through special commissions to produce art for residential treatment settings and new housing developments.  He captures, with honesty and simplicity, the diverse visual beauty of the world and expresses it through his art.
