Directions to Queens Council on the Arts
Oak Ridge, 2nd Floor
Forest Park, Woodhaven
By car:
Via Grand Central Parkway
(from
Triboro Bridge)Take
the Grand Central Parkway
East
to the Jackie
Robinson Parkway.
Take the
Jackie Robinson to
Exit 4 (Forest Park Drive).
At
the end of the ramp turn
left, follow the roadway
about ½ mile
and
you will see Oak Ridge
(a BIG
white building)
up
on your right.
Turn
right into the driveway, which is just past the
house.
Via
Long Island Expressway
Take the Long
Island Expressway to the Van Wyck Expressway South.
Take the Van Wyck South to the Jackie Robinson
Parkway and proceed to Exit 4 (Forest Park Drive).
At
the end of the ramp turn left,
follow the roadway about ½
mile
and
you will see
Oak Ridge (a BIG
white building)
up
on your right.
Turn
right into the driveway, which is just past the
house.
From Woodhaven Blvd:
If you are driving south on Woodhaven Blvd
(away from Queens Center Mall):
After you pass Myrtle Ave,
turn right into Forest
Park. Follow the road (past the carousel
and bandshell) until you come to a stop light.
You’ll see Oak Ridge - the big white house – right
in front of you. Turn left at the light, then make
an immediate right into the Oak Ridge driveway.
If you are driving north on Woodhaven Blvd
(away from Jamaica Ave towards
Queens Blvd):
After you pass Park Lane South,
turn left into Forest Park.
Follow the road (past the carousel and bandshell)
until you come to a stop light. You’ll see Oak
Ridge - the big white house
– right in front of you.
Turn left at the
light, then make an
immediate right into the Oak Ridge
driveway.
From
Myrtle Ave:
Turn onto
Forest Park Drive
entering Forest Park from Myrtle Ave. Follow
the winding road about ½
mile, and you’ll come to a traffic
light—Oak Ridge is the big
white house up on your right. The
driveway entrance is just past the house.
By
subway:
Take the
J train to 85 St / Forest
Parkway in Woodhaven, Queens. Exit
downstairs to the Northeast corner of Jamaica
Avenue. Walk West one block to the corner of
Forest Parkway and Jamaica
Ave. Turn right and
walk up along Forest
Parkway (about three blocks)
into Forest Park, then
continue up the hill into the park. Oak Ridge is
the big white house at the top of the hill on the
left.
*The walk from the subway
is approximately 15 minutes.
