Grant Programs
QCA regrants funds from private and public sources to further sustain the arts and cultural communities of Queens.

·         Queens Community Arts Fund supports Queens based individual artists and nonprofit organizations that provide cultural services with grants through a competitive process ensuring the highest quality of arts activities and services in the borough of Queens. 

·         Individual Artist Initiative offers artists technical assistance through structured mentorships with professional consultants to build skills that advance their careers.

·         Arts in the Schools Grant Program, supports arts education partnerships among Queens schools, local arts institutions and artists.

  • Urban Artists Initiative NYC provides information and grants to individual artists, in all disciplines, of African, Asian, and Latin descent who reside in the five boroughs of New York City.

Arts Education
QCA supports arts education that develops the next generation of creative citizens.

·         High School to Art School provides free portfolio development, studio classes, critical studies discussion, internships, and college advisement for talented Queens high school students applying to secondary art schools.

·         Arts in the Schools Grant Program (see Regrant Programs).

·         ArtSmart provides professional development workshops to support the needs of teaching artists 

·         Oak Ridge Series at Forest Park provides opportunities for teaching artists and schools to develop quality arts activities.

Arts Services
QCA offers individual artists and arts organizations arts management training and professional development services.

·         Independence Art Builds Community Series provides workshops and roundtable discussions on all aspects of arts management.  Topics include fundraising, financial planning, and marketing.

·         QCA sponsors a variety of networking and resource exchange opportunities designed to connect and build partnerships among the arts and cultural communities.

Information Services
QCA provides valuable resources and information for the arts community.
