On Wednesday, February 15, 4:00-6:00pm, QCA presents “Under the Hood,” a professional development workshop series at which artists learn the fundamentals of the business of art and have the opportunity for short one-on-one consultations with QCA staff.

This first “Under the Hood” presentation focuses on helping artists who are interested in applying to QCA's new ArtHotel Residency Program. Artists who are interested in developing fundamental skills in grants research are also invited to attend. After a 30-minute presentation to all attendees, artists will have the opportunity to engage in group Q&A and can sign up to spend 10 minutes one-on-one with Queens Council on the Arts staff. Artists are encouraged to bring prepared questions or grant proposals-in-progress.

The once-a-month consultations will cover areas including Grants Writing, Project Planning, Budget Development, Marketing, and Social Media Strategies. Artists interested in the post-presentation one-on-one consultations will be registered on a first-come, first-serve basis.
