Please join us for the Summer Exhibition of High School to Arts School (HS2AS)!
In this exhibition, students present selections of the work they've created during the Summer session of Queens Council on the Art's visual arts portfolio development program.
Every year, the HS2AS class works hard to prepare portfolios to gain acceptance into competitive art colleges and universities. The class of 2018 earned over $1,100,000 in scholarships to further their studies.
On August 1, the young artists will be onsite, along with Summer Instructors Amanda Adams-Louis and Chantal Feitosa, who guided these students through acquiring life drawing skills, as well as training in topics such as painting, color theory, and printmaking.
All work was curated and presented in collaboration with the students.
We hope you're able to come out to support these emerging artists, celebrate their accomplishments, and encourage their transition to art college!
Refreshments will be provided.
