QCA hosted the first "WordFeast" event at the New York Tibetan Service Center in Jackson Heights on June 3, 2016. QCA’s multicultural WordFeast is a series of FREE public readings by 4 Queens-based authors who write in languages other than English. Hosted at the New York Tibetan Services Center in Elmhurst, QCA's WordFeast program presented a reading of a short story-in-progress by Tibetan writer Tenzin Woeser, accompanied by translator Nawang Gurung. Attendees also had the opportunity to see and learn techniques for producing Tibetan script calligraphy. Traditional Tibetan cuisine was served.
