WordFeast with Panagiota Lilikaki: 6.10.2016

On June 10, 2016, QCA's WordFeast program presented a reading of a short story-in-progress by Greek writer Panagiota Lilikaki- Mourning baba: A Translation in Mourning in Greek. The diary entries, of over 25 years, revisit the sorrow of losing the writer’s father, baba, the seeking of happiness after the loss and the power of love. Mourning diaries examine the proper way of mourning the dead within the Greek culture and the failure to follow the tradition.  Panagiota was accompanied by guitarist-composer Spiros Exaras and Iranian American poet and translator Roger Sederat. Traditional Greek cuisine was served. More photos here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/qcanyc/albums/72157669300203461
